The Las Vegas Valley metropolitan area is the largest within the greater Mojave Desert, and 2nd-largest in the Southwestern United States. Walk - in marriages are common place and are legally binding. Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Cambridge is a city on the River Cam in eastern England, home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, dating to 1209. University colleges include King’s, famed for its choir and towering Gothic chapel, as well as Trinity, founded by Henry VIII, and St John’s, with its 16th-century Great Gate. University museums have exhibits on archaeology and anthropology, polar exploration, the history of science and zoology. We enjoyed a great visit with our friend who was completing his PhD there.

Dubai is famous for the Burj al Arab, contemporary sightseeing attractions such as the Burj Khalifa (the world's tallest building) and shopping malls that come complete with mammoth aquariums and indoor ski slopes....
Brighton is a seaside resort and one of the two main areas of the city of Brighton and Hove in the county of East Sussex, England. It is located 47 miles south of London. Archaeological evidence of settlement in the area dates back to the Bronze Age, Roman and Anglo-Saxon periods.
Oxford, a city in central southern England, revolves around its prestigious university, established in the 12th century. The architecture of its 38 colleges in the city’s medieval center led poet Matthew Arnold to nickname it the 'City of Dreaming Spires'. University College and Magdalen College are off the High Street, which runs from Carfax Tower (with city views) to the Botanic Garden on the River Cherwell.
London...Ever since doing a project on Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in the 1970s it was a dream to visit .... fast forward to 20 April 1992 and a working holiday of 6months ... never left - still living in the UK now and pinch myself every time I pass these iconic buildings! London is vibrant and busy and everyone is in a rush! It is a melting pot of so many cultures and nationalities and there is just so much history and so much to do - never a dull moment. So come on over to enjoy the double decker buses, red phone booths, world class museums and galleries and cosmopolitan vibe!
