UK: Oxford and surrounds 1993

Oxford, a city in central southern England, revolves around its prestigious university, established in the 12th century. The architecture of its 38 colleges in the city’s medieval center led poet Matthew Arnold to nickname it the 'City of Dreaming Spires'. University College and Magdalen College are off the High Street, which runs from Carfax Tower (with city views) to the Botanic Garden on the River Cherwell.

🙂 First weekend away with Paul!

A very special weekend away .. Paul and I checked in as Mr & Mrs as I was too embarrassed to check in as an unmarried couple! LOL.

We stayed in a small B&B in the centre of town and enjoyed (expensive!) Fish and Chips on arrival vs the interesting array of meat available at the Butcher next door! 🙂

The next day we did a lovely walk to the White Horse at Uffington and enjoyed a Pub Lunch. The autumn colours were spectaular.

The next day we did a University Tour – just incredible to see all the history that was in the making … quite humbling.

A lovely break.
