Tent pegging is a race, usually a team race or relay, where a rider and horse aim to knock down a peg with a stick, or pick up a peg on a lance, as fast as possible. This historically emerged from the attacks by Arabian Muslim cavaliers on enemy camps at dawn or late night, where they would gallop to their tents and pluck out the pegs of their tents and setting them alight, so that these would collapse on them, thus causing havoc and terror in the camp.

Australia: Bribie Island and Gympie (2011)

Bribie Island is the smallest and most northerly of three major sand islands forming the coastline sheltering the northern part of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. The others are Moreton Island and North Stradbroke Island. Bribie Island is 34 kilometres long, and 8 kilometres at its widest. Gympie is a city and a locality in the Gympie Region, Queensland, Australia. In the Wide Bay-Burnett District, Gympie is about 170.7 kilometres north of the state capital, Brisbane. The city lies on the Mary River, which floods Gympie occasionally.

UK: Charlotte growing up

Charlotte through the years... From the moment she was born she was simply a joy ... smiled, slept and LOVED her food. She has always put 150% into every single task that she undertakes hence her amazing successes in life - never less than a Gold Star (PLUS!) academically, always in the A or 1st Team for Hockey, Netball, Tennis and Athletics (National Finals for 1,500m!). Prefect. BA (Hons) Criminology, MSc (Psychology)- Distinction. Most importantly, quite simply an all round top person who would do anything for those nearest and dearest to her. Angel of Love.

USA: Hawaii Wedding & UK Reception 1995

Paul and I arranged a whirlwind wedding on Beach in Hawaii with two friends who had flown over as witnesses. It was a gloriously beautiful day with Trent participating in the vows we made while dressed in native sarongs, grass skirts and coconut shells! Paul's Parent's did not quite approve of this look for our wedding photo on their mantlepiece and arranged for a more formal wedding reception on our return to the UK in early December with friends and family! Double wedding!
