DAY 5: Tuesday 28th June 2022
Up at 5am to enjoy the stunning vista from the balcony – full sunshine and sparkling blue ocean amidst white peaks. Stunning. Breakfast at 8am and joined the Yellows for our shore excursion to Texas bar. Had a lovely walk around and headed back to the ship when the Captain said I could join Paul on his private Zodiac! So I went again! The Texas Bar is a research cabin – you are welcome to take a drink from the variety on offer, but only if you leave a bottle too! A lovely lady called Sheila joined us on the zodiac – she had just been diagnosed with Covid and looked a little feverish. Paul still testing negative on lateral flows every day!

Headed back to boat and had a room service chicken Caesar salad before rejoining Paul at 14h30 for our next ‘private zodiac excursion’. This was the absolute highlight of our trip – simply stunning – the photos can speak for themselves! As we entered the water a curious seal greeted us!
Back on board it was a Spanish ham to kick start the evening. Hoping Paul will be released tomorrow!
