Itinerary: Longyearbyen – Hornsund – Negribreen – Wilhelmoya – Texas Bar – Monaco Breen – 81 Nord – Ny-Alesund Glacier – 4 July Glacier
Unfortunately Paul and I slept in and so missed the excursion to the northern most post office in the world and the opportunity to send ourselves a postcard! But here are some pics of what we missed!
After lunch we boarded our final excursion on the zodiac with Tony & Ness and joined by Tom and Rick (Sheila still in the Covid boat) to toast the end of a hugely successful and enjoyable Arctic Cruise!
After disembarking we joined the English passengers for a farewell from the Captain and staff (us in casual clothes, the rest in black tie!!). The sea was seriously rough on the way back to Longyeabyen and Tony and Nessy did not feel up to dinner so had room service instead. Paul; and I enjoyed dinner (although Paul also felt a bit queasy!) and we had a laugh with the staff who were all relaxing and winding down. A great crew and a great cruise! We were sad to be disembarking the next day but happy to be heading home sweet home!
