Portugal: Madeira
Things you did not know about Madeira! Madeira is 57Km Long (35miles) and 20Km wide (13miles)! Madeira Island is closer to Africa than it is to Europe. Located just 280 nautical miles from the African coast, it is more than 500 miles / 805Km to Lisbon. The island has the world’s largest fireworks display for New Years Eve - as featured in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2006. Madeira island is home to Europe’s tallest sea cliff- more than 580m above the sea- Cabo Girão. There are more than 25 miles / 40KMs of tunnels throughout the island. Most of these were built throughout the 16th century. There are more than 1,350 miles (2,170 km) of levadas (irrigation ducts) and they provide a remarkable network of walking paths. It is known as the Spring Island due to its year round lush vegetation and incredible diversity of flowers.

The Jaguar F-Type is the modern version of the Jaguar E-Type, another car that is considered one of the most beautiful pieces the automobiles ever made.

Thousands of islands and incredible beaches... Tzatziki, Souvlaki, Moussaka and Baklava washed down with Retsina...Acropolis and Olympic Games - what a magnificent country!

Porto and Port - divine. Grilled sardines - Yum! Piri-Piri chicken which inspired the South African brand Nandos. Colourful tiles. The Portguese symbol of the Rooster and Fado music, sunshine and Algarve beaches... this provides just a sample of what there is to explore in this fantastic Mediterranean country.
Bulgaria
Tucked between Greece, Turkey, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Romania, Bulgaria is one of the oldest countries in Europe, with an ancient culture and traditions. Roses, yogurts, and hot springs are some of the things Bulgaria is renowned for.

Namibia: 2021 – Etosha Pan: Onkoshi to Okonjima
Okonjima - from the Herero word meaning place of the baboons, lies nestled in the unspoilt beauty of the Omboroko Mountains, part of the well-known Waterberg Plateau, halfway between Windhoek and Etosha. Okonjima offers a variety of different accommodation facilities and is also home to the AfriCat Foundation, a non-profit organisation committed to the long-term conservation of Namibia’s large carnivores and other endangered species.
Namibia: 2021 – Etosha Pan – Namutoni to Onkoshi
Onkoshi Camp is on the rim of the Etosha Pan on a secluded peninsula. Onkoshi is a low impact, environmentally friendly establishment. Since the lodge offers only 15 units with 30 beds, it guarantees a genuinely personal and exclusive experience. Significantly, the location is entirely out of view of current tourist routes and all other developments in the area.
