UK: Polo

Polo is a ball game played on horseback, a traditional field sport and one of the world's oldest known team sports. The game is played by two opposing teams with the objective of scoring using a long-handled wooden mallet to hit a small hard ball through the opposing team's goal. The field is 300 yards long and 160 yards wide, which is roughly ten football fields. The match lasts about one and a half to two hours long and is divided into timed periods called chukkers – each chukkar is 7 ½ minutes long. UK: FRIENDSHIP & PARTIES

FRIENDS: Us Two - AA Milne........Wherever I am, there’s always Pooh, There’s always Pooh and Me. Whatever I do, he wants to do, “Where are you going today?” says Pooh: “Well, that’s very odd ‘cos I was too. Let’s go together,” says Pooh, says he. “Let’s go together,” says Pooh. “What’s twice eleven?” I said to Pooh. (“Twice what?” said Pooh to Me.) “I think it ought to be twenty-two.” “Just what I think myself,” said Pooh. “It wasn’t an easy sum to do, But that’s what it is,” said Pooh, said he. “That’s what it is,” said Pooh. “Let’s look for dragons,” I said to Pooh. “Yes, let’s,” said Pooh to Me. We crossed the river and found a few- “Yes, those are dragons all right,” said Pooh. “As soon as I saw their beaks I knew. That’s what they are,” said Pooh, said he. “That’s what they are,” said Pooh. “Let’s frighten the dragons,” I said to Pooh. “That’s right,” said Pooh to Me. “I’m not afraid,” I said to Pooh, And I held his paw and I shouted “Shoo! Silly old dragons!”- and off they flew. “I wasn’t afraid,” said Pooh, said he, “I’m never afraid with you.” So wherever I am, there’s always Pooh, There’s always Pooh and Me. “What would I do?” I said to Pooh, “If it wasn’t for you,” and Pooh said: “True, It isn’t much fun for One, but Two, Can stick together, says Pooh, says he. “That’s how it is,” says Pooh.

UK: PETS!

Pets ...Furry Family ..They Will Not Go Quietly They will not go quietly, the pets who’ve shared our lives. In subtle ways they let us know their spirit still survives. Old habits still can make us think we hear them at the door Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor. Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be, And, sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly. And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill, That one place in our hearts belongs to them… and always will.... To all our furry family - our hearts are forever yours. RIP across the Rainbow Bridge - until we meet again: SIMBA, RUSTY, SASCHA, ZEUS, BRANDY, AMBER, SIMBA, TAFIA, MUFASA, RAFIKI, ZAZU, PUMBA, TIMONE, KITTEN(s), SHAKA, ZULU, MILLIE, SHUMBA

The Lake District is a region and national park in Cumbria in northwest England. Market towns such as Kendal, Ambleside and Keswick on scenic Derwentwater are bases for exploring the area and home to traditional inns, galleries of local art and outdoor equipment shops. We enjoyed Striding Edge and Helvellyn at 950m...spectacular!
