SA: Kruger National Park – 2019 Highlights (May & October)

A fantastic family trip ... special memories in our Happy Place!

🙂 October Family Trip

🙁 May Jaco’s funeral 🙁

We visited twice this year. May was a very sad time as we bade our dear friend farewell. October was a happier time as we were blessed with our family.

May 2019: Spectacular sightings ….

2019: September

Amazing sightings including a mega herd of buffalo

A magnificent leopard sighting!

Pumba

Wild Dog are always a highlight!

Baboon watching could become a hobby!

Mlondozi Dam quite dry but busy!

Magnificent Lioness!

We had left the guys and gals playing golf and done a drive along the river and spotted some flat cat lions…it was really hot so we moved on… collected the golfers and decided to swing past the same sighting – they had taken a buffalo! The elephants were a little disgruntled and trumpeted as they went to drink!

The traffic was building up so we decided to leave them to their lunch… it was getting late but we decided to swing by the waterhole… and discovered this beauty! He decided to be patient rather than annoy the giants – sadly we had no time to wait as the gates were closing …

Some other fantastic sightings – how lucky are we?!

Our family LOVE hyenas!
