SA: Drakensberg Gardens

Visitors can enjoy all that Drakensberg Gardens has to offer including the mountain views and spas. Lesotho is easily accessible via Sani Pass. Rhino's Peak is worth a climb. There is hiking, fishing, horseriding and golf - lots to keep those who love the outdoors very busy!

🙂 Rhino Peak and Stunning Scenery!

🙁 Roads are hectic at night with potholes and cattle.

My Oupa bought a timeshare here during my birthday week so we have been coming here for years and watched the resort grow and improve. It is a haven of peace and the crisp mountain air is so good for the soul.

2018:

This was very special. Loren always use to come with Oupa, my Gran and I to the timeshare for my birthday so we decided it was an appropriate place to meet up as families for our 50ths. We talked and laughed and played golf and walked and chilled – lucky to have such a wonderful bestie from schooldays.

We now stay at the Fairways Self Catering apartments which offer excellent value for money with magnificent views, spacious accommodation, open fires and magnificent views along with a swimming pool and hot tub.

2016

I had to share this special place with my children – so many memories of Oupa and Granny. trent riding on the ponies an di the swimming pool… some places never really change – the mountains remain the same. Spectacular.

Walking and hiking is superb. Trent first climbed rhino peak when he was just 3 years old! It is a challenging but rewarding walk on a clear day as you will have views across Lesotho. Just amazing.

While we were staying at the Berg we popped in to see Ken and had a great afternoon with him … we did not know that this would be the last time we ever saw him. 🙁
