UK: Chelsea Flower Show

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show, formally known as the Great Spring Show, is a garden show held for five days in May by the Royal Horticultural Society in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in Chelsea, London. Held at Chelsea since 1912, the show is attended by members of the British Royal Family. I always enjoy the South African contribution...

🙂 One of the highlights of the ‘London Season’

🙁 Busy!

Elisabeth and I enjoyed a lovely day together – started with the usual fragrances and hand massage at Jo Malone followed by a delicious lunch at the Botanist and then Flowers galore!

2019

What wonderful weather! We started tghe day in the usual manner with a hand massage at Jo Malone’s and bought the fragrance for the Flower Show – divine! Lunch at the Botanist was as delicious as ever. The street displays were awesome! I also sneaked in my own garden!

Loved this year’s gardens:

We ended the wonderful day at the bandstand with more champagne!

2014:

Another amazing year – hands, brunch and flowers and friends ….

2015

Elisabeth flew in from Sweden to join us. Helen had booked the usual Jo Malone hand massage treat and lunch at the Botanist in Sloane Square. Divine.

Entry into Chelsea was at 3pm. We started at the Wellington Garden where Parents were invited in for a glass of champagne and the opportunity to write our names on the wall which would be relocated in Wellington’s Gardens next to the Anglesey after the Flower Show completed.

The gardens were as spectacular as ever…especially the SA section …. and look who we met up with?! 🙂

2012

This was my very first year of attending the Chelsea Flower Show – and certainly not my last – it heralded the start of an annual tradition which I very much look forward to! All this floral beauty goes down very well accompanied by good friends and fine champagne!
