Italy: Capri – 2021

Capri, an island in Italy’s Bay of Naples, is famed for its rugged landscape, upscale hotels and shopping, from designer fashions to limoncello and handmade leather sandals. One of its best-known natural sites is the Blue Grotto, a dark cavern where the sea glows electric blue, the result of sunlight passing through an underwater cave. In summer, Capri's dramatic, cove-studded coastline draws many yachts.

🙂 AMAZING.

🙁 Elliott lost his cygnet ring

29 September 2021

We had hired a boat from the same place, Capitano Ago which Paul and I sued when we came in 2014. At that time it was our boat and that was it – this time there were literally hundreds of boats everywhere!

We decided to do the Blue Grotto first as it gets so crowded and our Captain said you could wait for your turn for tup to 2 hours!! Fortunately for us, we turned. up and within minutes a boat came to collect the kids – Paul and I did not do it again as we had done it previously/. The kids loved it.

We decided to moor up and do some snorkelling – and that is when poor Elliott lost his ring – so sad… he cried …

We then headed to the mainland where we were dropped off. We were very excited to get our limo taxi again! He gave us a but of a tour of the island whilst playing cool music!

We headed back to the obscure little restaurant called Georgio al Cucciolo which Paul and I had been to on our last trip …sadly it was not as good as before – but the kids didn’t know that and I think a great time was had by all – the views are stunning.

We headed back to wait for our boat and spent a bit of time on the beach. We had run out of time to do the cable car … next time!

It was time to take the instagram pics of the famed rock!

What an excellent day out….
