Mozambique: Bazaruto Archipelago Resort 2017

🙂 Quite simply put: Paradise

We had enjoyed our trip here so much in 2014 that we decided to head back and enjoy another visit. This place is remote and unspoilt. A quick flight from O Tambo in Jhb to Vilanculos on SA Airlink does the trick! The views as you come into land are spectacular!

It is a haven of peace.

There is a welcoming bar…

We stayed at the Archipelago Resort again and had two lovely and spacious Casas.

We enjoyed Beach Volley Ball every afternoon.

We had a blood full moon on the first night….amazing

A few of the kids were doing their diving qualifications and did their pool sessions while we sipped cocktails and tanned. Then we headed out for the qualifying dives for the Trainees- who!hoo!

We decided to take the boat out to the remote atoll and spend the day on the island snorkelling on the reef in the turquoise waters and having a braai – divine.

The diving is pretty spectacular – once you are through the “washing machine”!

On the way back we had the most awesome dolphin sighting.

A chap caught us fresh crayfish which we cooked on the braai that night.

The boys enjoyed a great Deep Sea Fishing Trip with Andrew Zealie: Dive Bazaruto – Paul is the advert on the web page!

Not a bad haul – we enjoyed them cooked fresh on the braai that evening!

We had loved the beach ride and visit to the local community so much – a repeat had to be booked! So touching and lovely to see the little children singing and enjoying the interaction.

We gave the kids bars of soap.

Likewise for swimming with the horses in the sea.
