UK: Elisabeth 50th – Brown’s

While Brown's has a rich and illustrious history of its own, it has also played a part in history on a global scale, including being the site of the first telephone call in London made by its inventor, Alexander Graham Bell. For the last 200 years, Brown's has been a hub of literary history with guests like Mark Twain, J. R. R. Tolkien, William Faulkner, Somerset Maugham, Agatha Christie, George Orwell and A. A. Milne. Yet the most influential literary guest has to be Rudyard Kipling.
